Your brain creates your reality. If you dwell on the past it will continue to hurt you. If you choose to process painful memories for life lessons you can turn the pain into something useful. If you act anxious you’ll be anxious. If you do things that depress you, you’ll become depressed. Your brain is an organ that requires the same amount of preventative care as your heart does.
Exercise: List 3 reasons why you want or need a better brain
- Improve focus
- Limit reactivity
- Deal with stress and negative feelings
