Synopsis

about the “Change You Brain Everyday” Blog

Marianne was experiencing brain fog and body aches. She chalked it up to getting older. She was thinking about retiring because she felt like her brain fog was effecting her productivity at work. One of Marianne’s daughter suggested she give one of Dr. Amen’s brain and diet programs a try. She did and within 18 months had got rid of her brain fog and body aches while losing 50 lbs. Her success was contagious. Her other daughter did the same program and lost 140 lbs. and her husband joined in too.

Illuminated Inspiration Quote Board

Exercise: Name 2 or 3 people who might be inspired if you got truly well.

Not to sound arrogant but I’ve already started to inspire people on my journey. That said the goal is to get better and better which each passing day. While I’ve already inspired some folks I hope to inspire a lot more.

I think the two most important people I have to inspire are my niece and my nephew. They are 9 and 5 respectively. Both are amazing athletes! In that area they don’t need much inspiration from me. Where I think I can provide some inspiration is in their mindset. Sports come so easily to them that as they get older they won’t need to perfect there craft to dominate. I don’t want them to play down to their competition.

I want to teach them that the only person they should compare themselves is who they were yesterday. Are you better today than you were yesterday. if so great! If not how do we turn that around tomorrow.

The way I can inspire them to do this is by seeing me in action and following my races. When I show up to a trail run the only person I’m racing against is myself. Today, right now I’m not going to win a lot of races. One day I might but. If I’m going to get there though the only thing I need to focus on is constantly improving myself. If I can’t beat myself from yesterday, I’m not going to beat the people already finishing above me. They are at the age that they knew me when i was fat but don’t remember me that way.

When they see old photos of us when I’m fat I want it to do two things. Number One, be a cautionary tail…if your not getting better your getting worse. Number Two, be an inspiration that no matter how hard times get you can always turn it around.
